Ivor Novello Award winners Bloc Party were formed in London in 1999 by Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack. Their breakthrough debut Silent Alarm reached No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart, earned a Mercury Music Prize nomination, and was voted NME Album of the Year, leading them on to later experimental explorations across A Weekend in the City and Intimacy. Since then, the band have spent more than two decades shaping a sound comprised of angular guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and electronic textures.

The band have become one of the definitive acts of the 2000s post-punk revival, and their catalogue includes a run of acclaimed albums and a series of singles that have remained staples of indie and alternative playlists worldwide.
